The "wet my pants" Factor

A good movie does not have to win an Oscar. Come to think about it many great movies, actors, directors, and screen-writers have never won an Oscar. How do you judge a good movie? Some people factor in box office sales. Some talk about special effects or measure the budget of the film. Actors will tell you it's the writers and writers tell you it's the actors that make a great movie.

I'm a little different. I gage a great movie with the "almost wet my pants" factor.

When someone tells me they saw a comedy that was so funny that they "almost wet their pants" laughing so hard, I go purchase that movie ticket.

When I hear someone say that the movie they saw last week-end was so scary they "almost wet their pants" out of fear, I go buy that movie ticket.

Or when I hear someone say that the movie they saw last night riveted them to their seat and was so good that they didn't even want to go to the restroom and they (you guessed it) "almost wet their pants", I run out and buy that movie ticket too.

Now that I think about it, when I build my website, am I not the producer, director, writer, and star of my own movie? I know that it may be a low budget production and I have to wear many hats in my en devour but it is no less my art of communication. My website may not ever be "Oscar" material, but I wonder if I can get close by using the "almost wet my pants" factor.

I have to go now.

It looks like I'll be busy with my sites again.
