Pre-Selling vrs. Take The Money And Run

selling picture

I don't care if you sell your own product or an affiliate product or service, there's a right and wrong way to do this stuff.

There is a process called pre-selling.

I really don't like that term because of that scary word "selling" at the end. Selling implies twisting someone's arm or reaching in their wallet or purse. In other words convincing them to part with their money.

I prefer the term pre-conditioning your site visitor for a product or service that's in their best interest so you can lead them to a buying decision.

People love to buy. No one I know likes to be sold.

Before any of you scream "mind control" or "subliminal hypnosis", I assure you that this has nothing to do with that garbage.

I think it would probably be better to give you an example of selling vrs. pre-conditioning your site visitor.

Here's an example of why a lot of web masters fail to make money on their sites. Click here.

Now this next example will take work, but this type of page will out perform any page on your site if your affiliate programs are solid with great sales copy and products or services. Click here.

See what I mean?

Now some will argue "hey... take the money and run! My one page website does pretty good. I make X sales per day... bla bla bla.

What happens Mr. Take The Money and Run, when your product or service peaks. Start another site? Find some more suckers, I mean customers. Mail some more mail to your mailing list because the money's in the list right?

Well this site is not for you if that's your thinking.

This site is for people who want to build an ongoing business with multiple streams of income with a web site that informs, educates, and makes the site visitor want to come back.

So call it pre-conditioning or pre=selling if you want. Just Do It! Until next time...
